The General Council and Board of Governors' decision to establish an exclusive residential school for girls on the 46-acre field—previously known as the Polo Ground and later used as a playground and farmland—left a lasting impression on Mayo College's history. Mayo College Girls, the "Sister School" of Mayo College, works to realise the founders' original aim. The stone-laying ceremony took place on the 1st of August 1987. The Mayo College Girls School has constantly been named among the top schools in India by numerous national and international magazines and is accredited with the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE).
Mayo Girls School uses a continuous evaluation approach to track progress continuously without subjecting kids to undue pressure from exams. Given that there are four terms in an academic year, reports are provided to parents four times a year.

Admission Procedure

The Common Aptitude Analysis is held in the third week of November at Mayo College Girls' School at various locations in India.
Additionally, it can be organised through the Indian Embassy there.

Steps for Admission Procedure

You will need to fill out a registration form. Please send the registration fee along with the application

Upon verifying your application and documents, the admission council will notify you if you are eligible.

Following this, you will have to take an aptitude test, usually held in the 3rd week of November.

Upon passing the test, you will be accepted into the school

What is the process of admission?

In order to get admission in Welham Girls School Dehradun, one need s to follow the following steps:

The lowest grade is Class IV, and your child may take the Common Aptitude Analysis after passing Class III. For those requesting admission to class IX, the Common Aptitude Analysis is required.
For admittance into Class XI, admission is based on Class X results from the Board. Students with test scores below 90% are rarely accepted; admission is based on merit and space availability.
The Common Aptitude Analysis scores are employed to determine entrance to Mayo College. The Education Committee, which has Board members and the Principal, makes the final decision about admissions.

When is the Common Aptitude Analysis held?

Common Aptitude Analysis for admission to Mayo College Girls’ School is contained in the 3rd week of November every year at various centres in India.

Is the Registration fees refundable?

A minimum of three months' notice is required for withdrawals. If a withdrawal is made in the months of April through July, the school costs will be prorated in half. Full costs will be assessed for withdrawals made during and after August.
The fees will be assessed up until JUNE for withdrawals from Classes X and XII. The Principal's choice in this matter will be final.

What are the subjects for the Assessment?

The Analysis evaluates the candidate in English, Hindi and Mathematics to test the age-specified skills in Mathematics and languages.
